Goa Ride.. One Bike , 6 Days !!! #Day1

Yes , It's all began with this quote on beautiful Monday afternoon “ There is no happiness for him who does not travel .The fortune of him who is sitting, sits; it rises when he rises; it sleeps when he sleeps; it moves when he moves. Therefore, wander !!!! ” . Being a IT professional , its always been an hard time to get leaves because someone always messup with meeting schedules . Thanks God , I am out on vacation for next six days . Six days in hand , sleepy IT mind started working faster . U need some crazy idiots like you to madly believe your ideas & I have many :) . Couples of calls , ended up in one . Yes , We are on the trip to Goaaaa from Bengaluru , But which route we are talking .!! Ofcourse the longest route :) . After some planning , We started working on the main part , Getting my Blue Angel ready . We decided to start our jouney on early morning wednesday . 24 hrs lap time to get set with all the things . As someone said , " Behind every successfull ride , there is one good mechanic " . Thanks to Panache Yamaha @Indranagar , we are all set to begin on wednesday morning . @Bengaluru ..

We started around 5 AM from Bangalore , We did a intial rough sketch of places we are going to cover . Chikmagalur came as the first destination . What next , we wil see it there . Its the answer in our mind . We reached Chikmagalur around 11 after an awesome early morning ride on the highway to Hassan . Weather god was so good to us till we reach Hassan . 

Pit Stop Time : Yagachi Dam   The Yagachi River arises in the Western Ghats near the city of chikmagalur (formerly Chica Mogloor, during the British Rule) , flows through Belur Taluka, Hassan District, where it becomes a tributary of the Hemavati River, which it enters near Gorur.The dam was constructed in the year 2001. The reservoir is situated at an altitude of 965 feet above the sea level. The length of the Yagachi dam is 1280 meters. The maximum height above the foundation of the reservoir is 26.237 meters.

We decided our next destination was Kemmanugundi ,  which was 52 kms from Chikmagalur , Thats where the entertainment started . After few kms of ride , rain started pouring heavily . we started to feel shivering in cold . We were desperatly looking for some place to stop . Yep , we got one . @Hallibere estate coffee house . Life is all about getting right things at wrong place . We took  freshly made home coffee with cookies , best one which i ever had in my life somewhere in an unknown place . Oh God , You are great ..

We started our journey to Kemmanugundi after rain , Since we were not sure about the road condition , we want to reach the place before light comes down . After we took the turn to Bhadra Tiger reserve  .Its a journey of 18 kms through fog in forest , such a thrill to drive in tiger reserve :)  . since its a tiger reserve , we ignored camping idea & started heading towards Karnataka Govt guest house on top of the hill .

We reached around 7 pm , after a long journey on first day , Its time for us to catch some sleep . :)
